Cheese platter with homemade wine and pear jam

Cooking utensils
- 1 Chopping board and knife
- 1 Small pot
- 1 Cooking spoon
- 1 Jar for storing the jam
- 1 Serving platter for the cheese platter
Ingredients
For the cheese platter:
- 4 Varieties Cheese (e.g. Brie, Roquefort, Comté, goat’s cheese)
- Fresh grapes
- Roasted nuts (e.g. walnuts, almonds)
- Dried figs or apricots
- Fresh baguette or crackers
For the wine and pear jam:
- 2 ripe pears, diced
- 100 ml White wine (e.g. Riesling or Sauternes)
- 50 g Sugar
- 1 TL Lemon juice
- 1 TL Cinnamon
Preparation
Wine and pear jam:
- Prepare the pears: Peel and core the ripe pears and cut into small cubes.
- Heat the wine and sugar: Heat the white wine together with the sugar, lemon juice and cinnamon in a small saucepan.
- Reduce the pears: Add the diced pears and reduce over a low heat for approx. 15-20 minutes until the jam reaches a slightly thick consistency.
- Pour into a glass: Pour into a glass and leave to cool.
Arrange the cheese platter:
- Arrange the cheeses on a serving platter.
- Add grapes, nuts and dried fruit.
- Place the wine and pear jam in a small bowl.
- Serve with fresh baguette or crackers.
