Vegan cuisine has long stood for more than just abstinence – it is creative, aromatic, varied and full of new moments of pleasure. In the Vegan & Wine category, we show how plant-based dishes can be stylishly combined with wine – from everyday dishes to festive menus.

But beware: wine is not automatically vegan. Many wines are treated with animal additives such as gelatine, egg white or isinglass during the clarification process. Anyone who lives vegan or consciously consumes wine should therefore look out for “vegan-friendly” wines – i.e. wines that are produced without animal additives and labeled accordingly.

Whether it’s a spicy curry, baked vegetables, vegan pasta, tofu or lentil dishes: with the right wine – from fresh white wine to rosé, orange wine and vegan-certified red wine – you can create combinations that are as ethical as they are tasty.
